Freelance Video Editor

We are seeking an experienced freelance Video Editor that can commute to Boston to assist with commercial, corporate, branded, and social media video projects on a project-by-project basis. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded post-production professional with strong editing, color grading, and finishing skills who can deliver polished, broadcast-quality content. Responsibilities • Edit a wide variety of video content, including commercials, brand films, product videos, interviews, social media content, and promotional videos. • Assemble footage into compelling, story-driven edits with strong pacing and attention to detail. • Perform professional color correction and color grading. • Mix and clean audio, including dialogue, music, and sound effects. • Create titles, motion graphics, and simple visual effects when needed. • Organize project files and maintain efficient post-production workflows. • Export final deliverables in multiple formats for web, social media, broadcast, and digital platforms. • Incorporate client and creative feedback while meeting project deadlines. Qualifications • 3+ years of professional video editing experience. • Advanced proficiency in one or more professional editing platforms, including: • Final Cut Pro • Adobe Premiere Pro • DaVinci Resolve • Adobe After Effects (preferred) • Strong understanding of color grading, audio mixing, codecs, frame rates, and delivery specifications. • Experience working with LOG footage and professional camera formats. • Knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects is a plus. • Excellent storytelling, pacing, and creative judgment. • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with producers and creative teams.
