Industrial Designer for Earplug Optimization

We are seeking an experienced industrial designer to optimize our silicone earplugs for better fit and comfort. The project involves creating a 3D CAD model and iterating based on feedback. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical 3D CAD design and be able to deliver high-quality models. This is a part-time role with a short-term engagement. The system is completely symmetrical and wingless (universal fit for both left and right ears). It consists of a medical-grade liquid silicone rubber (LSR) ear core body with an integrated 12-degree angled acoustic pathway, and interchangeable rigid plastic outer front caps (Focus Cap with sound slots and Mute Cap completely solid). The caps lock via a mechanical 90-degree quarter-turn bayonet (twist-lock) system into a rigid inner tube embedded in the silicone body.We are looking for an experienced Industrial Designer to support us with the 3D CAD modeling (STEP files), mechanical tolerance calculations, and ergonomic optimization for production (Design for Manufacturing).
