About Us We are a US origin startup with a globally distributed remote team. We are looking for an experienced U.S. Intellectual Property attorney to help us secure and protect our company name and brand. Role Overview We are seeking a licensed U.S. IP attorney with expertise in trademark law to evaluate our existing company name, identify any legal risks, and help us secure trademark protection in the United States. The ideal candidate will also advise us on international trademark strategy as our business expands globally. Key Responsibilities 1. Conduct a comprehensive trademark clearance search for our company name and brand. 2. Assess potential conflicts, infringement risks, and registrability. 3. Provide a written legal opinion and recommendations. 4. Develop a trademark protection strategy for our business. 5. Prepare and file trademark applications with the USPTO, if appropriate. 6. Advise on international trademark protection (e.g., Madrid Protocol or country-specific filings). 7. Provide guidance on protecting our intellectual property, brand identity, and future product names. 8. Answer legal questions related to trademarks, brand ownership, licensing, and enforcement. Required Qualifications 1. Licensed attorney in the United States. 2. Proven experience in U.S. trademark and intellectual property law. 3. Strong knowledge of USPTO trademark registration and prosecution. 4. Experience working with startups, SaaS, AI, or technology companies. 5. Familiarity with international trademark strategies is preferred. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
