Summary

A U.S.-based advisory firm seeks a U.S.-licensed attorney for part-time legal strategy support on an active cross-border commercial matter involving settlement discussions, a regulatory process, and a potential transaction. All matter details are confidential and will be shared only after a signed confidentiality agreement and a conflicts check. The role: Review and pressure-test correspondence, term sheets, settlement frameworks, and draft agreements Identify legal, negotiation, and sequencing risks in counterparty proposals Support and quality-check work of overseas local counsel (you will not be lead counsel of record) Prepare issue lists, redlines, talking points, and response frameworks Attend scheduled video calls (camera on) with the advisory team Structure: Up to 20 hours/month at $300/hour, hard monthly cap, no retainer, no minimum guaranteed Weekly itemized invoicing; non-call work assigned in writing with agreed deliverables Month-to-month engagement with defined end date, extendable by written amendment Work is performed personally by you, no delegation to associates or staff Requirements: Active U.S. bar license in good standing (bar number verified) 10+ years in commercial disputes, settlements, or M&A/transactions; cross-border experience strongly preferred Professional liability insurance (current) Willingness to sign confidentiality, non-circumvention, and conflicts provisions before matter details are disclosed No use of public AI tools on matter materials To apply, include: Bar admission(s) and year licensed Two sentences on your most relevant experience Confirmation you carry malpractice insurance A short redline or comment sample (any anonymized document is fine)
