Literary Agent Query Campaign Manager for Serious Narrative Nonfiction Book
Worldwide
I am looking for an experienced publishing assistant, literary agency assistant, or book-submission manager to help run a targeted literary agent query campaign for a serious narrative nonfiction book. The book sits between language, architecture, cities, perception, It is not fiction, memoir, self-help, fantasy, romance, or a self-publishing project. The role is to manage research, personalization, submissions, and tracking. I do not want mass submissions, generic templates, or guaranteed-agent claims. Scope of work: Build a targeted list of 30–50 literary agents who represent serious nonfiction, narrative nonfiction, public-intellectual nonfiction, architecture/design culture, language, cities, cultural history, or idea-driven books. For each agent, provide: agency name; agent name; submission method; submission guidelines; relevant clients or comparable books; reason for fit; personalization angle; whether the agent is currently open to queries. Prepare personalized query openings for each agent. Manage submissions through email or agency portals after my approval. Track every submission in a spreadsheet. Provide weekly updates. Do not use bulk email, CC/BCC campaigns, or generic blasts. Do not use AI-generated mass messages. Do not claim or imply that representation or an offer can be guaranteed. Required experience: Experience with literary agent research or book proposal submissions. Familiarity with QueryTracker, Manuscript Wish List, Publishers Marketplace, agency websites, or similar resources. Strong written English. Understanding of trade nonfiction or narrative nonfiction. Ability to work carefully and discreetly. To apply, please answer: Have you managed literary agent query campaigns before? Have you worked with serious nonfiction or narrative nonfiction? How would you avoid mass-submission mistakes? Please provide a sample format for an agent-research spreadsheet. Please list three agents who might be plausible for a book about language, perception, architecture, and cities, and explain why. Initial paid test: Please quote for a small first task: a 10-agent research list with personalization notes. If the work is strong, I may extend to a full 30–50 agent campaign.
