On-site work is not required for this role. Overview Are you a natural in front of the camera, a skilled video editor behind it, and passionate about YouTube as a platform? We’re looking for an on-camera content creator who can host, edit, and elevate our YouTube presence with engaging long-form videos on consumer-focused topics. This role is perfect for someone who blends sharp storytelling, video editing chops, and is a YouTube native — someone who can bring energy to consumer news, humanize complex ideas, and turn scripts into content that connects with and matters to viewers. Important: This is not just a behind-the-scenes producer role. You’ll be the face of our YouTube channel — hosting, building community, and helping shape our voice on the platform. (https://www.consumeraffairs.com/finance/what-is-a-good-credit-score.html) What You’ll Do * Be the on-camera host for YouTube content * Shoot and edit 1-2 long-form videos per week * Collaborate with Social Media Manager on platform strategy * Script and storyboard content with a clear, engaging narrative * Stay up to date on platform trends and ideate content accordingly * Own the full content cycle: ideation → hosting → editing → publishing What We’re Looking For * A strong on-camera presence – charismatic, clear, and relatable * Experience creating engaging long-form video content for YouTube * Skilled in editing with tools like Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar * Great with storytelling: you know how to simplify and energize complex topics * Comfortable taking initiative, testing content ideas, and iterating based on performance * Fluent English speaker, excellent communicator Bonus Points If You Have * Livestream or live Q&A hosting experience * Background in journalism, content marketing, or media * Understanding of AI, tech, or future-of-work themes Location & Availability * U.S.-based only To Apply * Please submit a short video intro (or a recent hosted video reel) * Include a link to your portfolio or social content samples * Share a few lines on how you'd approach building an engaged YouTube audience for ConsumerAffairs You will be asked to answer the following questions when submitting a proposal: Please share 2–3 long form video samples where you appear on camera as the host or personality.
