Mechanical CAD Engineer Needed – Improve Existing Hinge Design (CAD)

We have an existing mechanical assembly for an automotive armrest. The product is fully designed and already in production. We need an experienced mechanical engineer to redesign one portion of the hinge mechanism. Current issue During assembly, the front hinge pin is free to rotate, making alignment difficult and slowing production. Goal Redesign the hinge so the pin cannot rotate during assembly while keeping the design simple, reliable, and suitable for production. Possible solutions may include: Anti-rotation (D-shaped or keyed) pin Other professional solutions if better We are looking for the best engineering solution—not just modeling what we suggest. What we provide Native CAD files, step files Complete assembly Existing hinge design Photos/videos if needed Deliverables Updated SolidWorks part and assembly files Updated STEP files Manufacturing-ready design Short explanation of the chosen solution Requirements Strong SolidWorks experience Mechanical design experience Understanding of tolerances and production assembly Experience designing hinges or moving mechanisms is a big plus This is a small project, but we are continuously developing new automotive products.
