Summary

We're a US-based direct-to-consumer wellness brand selling red and near-infrared light therapy devices via Shopify. 67% of our traffic is mobile and our mobile conversion rate is significantly underperforming. We need to understand why. Scope: - Recruit 15 participants (US-based, mobile users, wellness/health-interested, mix of familiar and unfamiliar with our brand) - Conduct 30-minute moderated usability sessions via video call (participants navigate our live site on their phone) - Probe on: first impressions, homepage comprehension, product page decision-making, trust signals, content clarity, checkout friction - Key question we need answered: do users need/want deep scientific content, or is it getting in the way? Deliverables: - Research plan and discussion guide (for our review before sessions begin) - 15 moderated sessions, recorded - Highlight reel of key friction points and quotes - Written findings report with prioritized recommendations About You: - Proven experience running moderated usability studies for ecommerce (DTC preferred) - You handle the full workflow: recruiting, screening, scheduling, moderating, analyzing, reporting - Comfortable with mobile-first testing - Portfolio or case study showing a past usability study and deliverables Timeline: Looking to kick off within 1 week. Full project completed within 2–3 weeks of start. Please include in your proposal: a past example of a usability study you ran, your approach to recruiting participants, and your estimated timeline.
