AI Platform Engineer (Backend, Automation & Infrastructure)

NO AGENCIES We are building a modern solution and are looking for a reliable freelance full-stack developer to support with backend and AI-related tasks. The focus is on pragmatic implementation, clean code, and steady progress. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain n8n workflows and automation solutions Manage and synchronize workflows, configurations, and environments across multiple platform instances Develop backend components, APIs, and system integrations Integrate external systems and services through APIs, webhooks, and SDKs Build and optimize AI-powered workflows using LLMs Develop and improve prompt engineering strategies Design and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems Manage Azure resources, deployments, and cloud infrastructure Perform troubleshooting, monitoring, and technical quality assurance Must-Have Skills: Strong self-management skills and the ability to independently solve technical challenges Ability to understand, maintain, and extend existing systems Hands-on experience with n8n in production environments Solid backend development experience Strong expertise in API integrations, REST APIs, and webhooks Experience with Azure or comparable cloud platforms Experience building AI solutions and integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) Experience with prompt engineering and AI workflow development Experience with RAG systems, embeddings, and vector search Good knowledge of SQL and database design Experience with Git, deployment processes, and version control Nice-to-Have Skills: Supabase Docker and containerization CI/CD pipelines Next.js or modern web technologies Experience with multi-tenant architectures Experience with authentication, authorization, and role-based access control Knowledge of GDPR and security best practices
