Portuguese (Brazil) App Localization Proofreading & Editing

We are looking for an experienced Brazilian Portuguese editor/proofreader to review and refine an existing Portuguese localization of a mobile application (screen mirroring app). The goal is to ensure the entire localization is fully aligned with Portuguese (Brazil) standards (pt-BR), linguistically consistent, and ready for release. Scope of Work The editor will review all localized strings and perform the following tasks: 1. Standardize to Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR) Review all translations and adapt them to Brazilian Portuguese conventions. Replace any European Portuguese (pt-PT) wording, spelling, grammar, punctuation, or style with the appropriate Brazilian Portuguese equivalent. Ensure all UI text sounds natural and native to Brazilian users. 2. Capitalization Consistency Review and standardize capitalization throughout the localization. Apply Brazilian Portuguese UI/UX capitalization best practices consistently. 3. Terminology Review & Unification Identify inconsistent translations of the same terms. Create and apply a unified terminology across the entire localization. Ensure the same feature, action, or concept is always translated consistently unless context requires otherwise. Flag any terminology that may be ambiguous or unclear. 4. Linguistic Editing Correct: Grammar, Spelling, Punctuation, Syntax, Awkward phrasing. Ensure all strings are concise and appropriate for mobile UI. 5. Context & UX Validation Verify that translations are suitable for mobile application interfaces. Check that wording is user-friendly and consistent with common Brazilian app localization standards. Deliverables The editor should provide: The edited localization file with all corrections applied. A brief summary of major issues found and resolved. Requirements Native Brazilian Portuguese speaker. Proven experience with software, mobile app, or SaaS localization. Strong understanding of Brazilian Portuguese UI/UX language conventions. Ability to maintain consistency across large sets of strings.
