Premium Athletic Apparel Identity Refinement (Refine Existing Logo + Develop New Wordmark)

PROJECT OVERVIEW We are a premium athletic apparel brand built around discipline, purpose, victory, and self-improvement. We already have an existing Arabic-script-inspired logo that has been tested on physical apparel samples (hoodies, performance shirts, long sleeves, and tanks). The logo concept has been completely validated and approved. This is NOT a logo redesign project. We're looking for an experienced brand identity designer to professionally refine our existing logo and create a complementary custom typography wordmark for our brand name. The final identity should feel modern, athletic, premium, and suitable for a sportswear brand targeting men interested in fitness, performance, and discipline. All final deliverables and source files must be transferred to the client upon project completion. PROJECT SCOPE Logo Refinement • Refine and optimize our existing logo for production use. • Improve vector curve quality and optical balance. • Optimize for embroidery, apparel printing, and small-scale reproduction. • Preserve the existing logo concept, structure, and visual identity. This project focuses on refinement, production optimization, and usability improvements rather than conceptual redesign. Custom Wordmark Creation • Create a custom wordmark for our brand name. • The wordmark should feel athletic, premium, modern, and highly legible. • It must complement our existing logo while standing on its own. • The wordmark must work across apparel (e.g., upper back center, vertical spine, leg panels), digital media, and future brand packaging. Brand System Development Please provide: • Symbol only • Wordmark only • Horizontal logo + wordmark lockup • Stacked logo + wordmark lockup CONFIDENTIALITY & NDA REQUIREMENT • Important: To protect our brand's intellectual property, shortlisted candidates will be required to sign a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before our current logo files and brand name are shared for final project quoting. TIMELINE • Expected project duration: 2 to 4 weeks from contract start. Brand Presentation Requirements • To assist final color selection and brand evaluation, provide presentation mockups showing: • White logo + wordmark on a black background • Athletic Silver logo + wordmark on a black background • Athletic Blue logo + wordmark on a black background • These presentations may be provided as simple digital brand boards or apparel mockups and are intended for visual evaluation only. 4. Transparent PNG files (White, Black, Metallic Silver, Tonal Black, and Blue) at 300 DPI minimum 5. Create artwork using editable vector fills (not raster effects) so future color variations can be generated without redesign work. 6. Dedicated embroidery-safe logo version (minimum 1.5mm stroke thickness) 7. Small-scale apparel version (optimized for 1.25-inch left-chest placement) 8. Final wordmark system and lockups 9. Brand Usage Sheet (One-page PDF) showing: o Symbol only o Wordmark only o Horizontal lockup o Stacked lockup o Minimum size guidance o Clear space guidance HOW TO APPLY When applying, please provide relevant athletic/sportswear branding examples, wordmark examples, and logo refinement examples. BUDGET AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION • Target budget: $350–$500 fixed price, depending on experience, portfolio quality, and relevant apparel branding experience. • A detailed technical brief, current logo files, and supporting brand materials will be provided to shortlisted candidates following NDA execution.
