I need help recovering access to my old Instagram account that was compromised a few years ago. What happened: Someone gained access through social engineering. They had already taken over my friend’s Instagram account and contacted me pretending to be my friend. They asked for my email under the pretense of voting in an art contest. After I shared information, they changed the email and password associated with my account and I lost access.
