Seeking Texas Licensed Attorney Representation in Harris County Insurance Litigation Case

We are seeking a Texas-licensed attorney to provide limited-scope representation in a pending insurance coverage dispute in Harris County, Texas. The plaintiff, All Elite Auto Care & Detailing LLC (d/b/a Faevaa Detail World), has filed suit against National Specialty Insurance Company, Thimble Insurance Services, Inc., and Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc., regarding insurance coverage under Policy No. IBL-P3CBARZBKC and the handling of the plaintiff's claim. The defendants have filed a Motion to Strike Plaintiff's Petition, a Motion to Show Authority, and a Plea in Abatement, alleging that the lawsuit was filed on behalf of the LLC by a non-attorney. The court has provided time for the LLC to retain licensed counsel, as an LLC cannot appear pro se in Texas district court and must be represented by a Texas-licensed attorney. The scope of this engagement includes: (1) entering an appearance as attorney of record; (2) reviewing the pleadings, insurance policy, and supporting documents; (3) conducting any necessary legal research; (4) preparing and filing responses to the Motion to Strike, Motion to Show Authority, and Plea in Abatement; (5) appearing at any hearing if requested by the court; and (6) preparing and filing an amended petition to cure any alleged representation defect and properly plead the client's claims. This matter can be handled entirely remotely. All filings can be submitted electronically, and any hearings or court appearances can be attended virtually via Zoom if permitted by the court. Attorneys located anywhere in Texas are encouraged to apply. Time is of the essence. The hearing was held on June 1, 2026, and the LLC was given a limited period to secure counsel and correct the representation issue. We are seeking an attorney who can promptly enter an appearance, review the file, and take the necessary steps to preserve the plaintiff's claims and keep the case moving forward. Compensation: This engagement is hourly only and will be paid exclusively through Upwork. Attorneys must use the Upwork Time Tracker for billable work, including reviewing pleadings and contracts, legal research, drafting motions and pleadings, client communications, court filings, and other work performed on the matter. We are not seeking contingency-fee, hybrid-fee, or flat-fee arrangements at this time. Ideal candidates will have experience with Texas civil litigation, insurance coverage disputes, motion practice, and appearances in Texas state courts.
