Senior Backend Developer (Full-Stack Capable) for Web Application

We're looking for a strong backend developer to take ownership of our server-side architecture. Backend is the core of this role; frontend experience is required but secondary. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design, build, and maintain robust backend services and REST APIs - Model and optimize the database layer for performance and scalability - Implement authentication, authorization, and core business logic - Write clean, testable, well-documented code - Handle frontend tasks when needed (integrating UI with your APIs, minor UI work) - Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot in production REQUIRED SKILLS - Deep backend expertise (strong in your primary backend stack, e.g. PHP/Laravel, Node.js/NestJS, or similar) - Solid database skills (PostgreSQL / MySQL), schema design, and query optimization - REST API design and integration - Git and clean version-control workflow - Working frontend knowledge (a modern framework such as React/Vue/Next.js) - enough to be productive, not your main focus - Understanding of deployment, environments, and basic DevOps NICE TO HAVE - Experience with Redis, queues/background jobs - Writing automated tests - Experience scaling production systems WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR A developer who thinks in systems, writes maintainable code, and can work independently with minimal hand-holding. Clear communication and reliability matter as much as technical skill. We want a backend specialist who happens to be comfortable across the stack, not a generalist who treats backend as an afterthought.
