Shopify CRO Consultant for Premium Beauty Brand — Conversion Cleanup (Design + Dev)

Summary

We're an established premium beauty brand (DTC on Shopify, also in retail). Our store is live and selling but leaking conversions. We have a completed CRO audit and a clear, prioritized punch list. We're looking for a consultant to come in, execute the fixes cleanly, and elevate the storefront's conversion and polish without a full replatform. This is a focused cleanup, not a ground-up rebuild. You'll move fast, know Shopify CRO best practices cold, and bring real design sensibility (yourself or a designer on your team), with a track record of measurably improving beauty DTC stores specifically. Scope of work (prioritized) P0 — Conversion-critical Replace the current full-page checkout redirect with a slide-out drawer cart (keep-shopping, upsell/cross-sell, free-shipping threshold progress bar) Fix CTA contrast and hover states sitewide (current primary button blends into its background) Integrate and properly display a review app; fix a review-count mismatch between top and bottom of product pages; clean review modules on homepage and PDPs Rebuild the hero banner: split layout (text on a clean side, imagery on the other), legible headline/subhead, product-in-use imagery, working CTA P1 — High impact Top nav cleanup: remove "Home," lead with Shop, add a Shop dropdown by product/category, replace blurry logo with crisp asset Move trust badges / key callouts above the fold Product cards: secondary hover imagery, dark buttons on white, clearer hierarchy PDP education layer: ingredients, 3-step how-to-use, before/after section, trust callouts; make the subscription option clear and compelling (not pre-selected) Signup popup: prominent, legible offer P2 — Polish Announcement bar with free-shipping progress gamification Bundle section: education-led, What/How/Why structure, callouts over long copy Full mobile responsiveness pass on all of the above Required (please don't apply if you don't meet these) Mandatory: demonstrated CRO work for beauty DTC brands specifically — skincare, cosmetics, haircare, or similar. Portfolio must show beauty work. Mandatory: strong design capability — either you're a designer-developer, or you have a dedicated designer on your team. This is a premium brand and the aesthetic bar is high. We will ask to see design work. 3+ years Shopify theme development (Liquid, HTML/CSS/JS), Dawn-based or custom themes Before/after CRO metrics you can speak to (CVR, AOV, ATC rate) Experience with cart drawer apps, review apps, and upsell tools Nice to have Experience with brands in prestige/luxury retail A/B testing experience Klaviyo / email capture familiarity To apply, please include Two or three beauty DTC Shopify stores you've improved — the specific conversion problem and the result A link to design work (yours or your team designer's) that shows a premium aesthetic Which P0 item you'd tackle first and why Your timeline and cost estimate for the P0 block (fixed-price preferred) The word "glow" at the top of your proposal so we know you read this Engagement: Start with the P0 block as a fixed-price milestone. Strong fit continues into P1/P2, with an ongoing CRO retainer possible for the right person.
