Summary

Needs to hire 3 Freelancers Summary # Short-Form Video Editor (CapCut, Viral FX & Content Direction) We are looking for a skilled short-form video editor who can do more than simply edit footage. We will be filming all content ourselves. We need someone who can help direct the filming process, provide shot ideas, create simple storyboards or shot lists, and then edit the content into engaging short-form videos. This is for DigiDonate, a fundraising platform focused on transparency, accountability and rebuilding trust in giving. DigiDonate combines modern fundraising with blockchain-backed transparency, helping donors, charities and fundraisers build trust through visibility, accountability and progress updates. We are not looking for faceless AI-generated content. We want real people, real stories, real experiences and professional editing. ## Equipment Available * Samsung Fold 5 * DJI Osmo Mobile Gimbal * DJI Mic Mini * GoPro Hero 10 Black * Fisheye Lens * Green Screen * Professional Lighting ## What We Need We are looking for somebody who can: * Create shot lists and filming plans * Tell us exactly what footage to capture * Recommend camera angles and camera movements * Suggest B-roll opportunities * Provide filming direction remotely * Recommend lighting and scene setup where required * Edit videos in CapCut * Add captions * Add sound design * Add transitions * Add motion graphics where appropriate * Repurpose videos into multiple clips We want to maximise the quality of the footage before editing begins. ## Editing Style We like engaging educational content that retains attention without feeling overproduced. We are interested in techniques such as: * Object Reveal * Object Disappearance * Clone Effects * Portal Effects * Ball Transitions * Time Warp * Motion Tracking * Green Screen Effects * Speed Ramps * Creative Transitions These effects should enhance the story, not become the story. ## Initial Scope Create: * 3 short-form videos * 30-60 seconds each For each video: * 1 primary edit * 3-5 additional clips from the same footage * Captions included * Platform-ready exports The goal is to create approximately 1-2 weeks of content from a single filming session. ## Content Themes Examples include: * Why people struggle to trust charities * Where donations actually go * Why transparency matters * Charity fraud and donor trust * Philanthropy and accountability * Current trends in fundraising and digital giving * Blockchain philanthropy and transparent donations * Real stories from our travels around the world * Lessons from entrepreneurship * Lessons from business failures and successes * Human behaviour and decision making * Business systems and accountability * Technology solving real-world problems * Common misconceptions about blockchain and fundraising * Current developments in blockchain, Web3 and real-world utility * Why donors do not need to understand blockchain to benefit from blockchain-backed transparency We are not looking for crypto hype content. We want timely, relevant, educational videos that connect current industry conversations back to trust, transparency, accountability and modern fundraising. ## What Makes A Great Candidate You: * Understand TikTok, Reels and Shorts * Understand audience retention * Can challenge our ideas when needed * Can suggest better ways to tell a story * Can direct filming remotely * Are proactive rather than waiting for instructions * Understand how to turn one video into many assets You should also be proactive in bringing us content ideas based on what is happening in the industry. This includes current trends or news relating to: * Philanthropy * Fundraising * Donor trust * Charity transparency * Blockchain utility * Web3 adoption * Crypto donations * Blockchain philanthropy * Digital giving * Social impact technology We do not want someone who only waits for footage. We want someone who can spot a timely topic and say: "This would make a strong 45-second video. Here is the hook, here is the angle, and here is how you should film it." ## Communication & Turnaround * Good communication is essential * We expect proactive updates * We value speed, but not at the expense of quality * We are looking for someone who can meet agreed deadlines consistently ## Opportunity For Ongoing Work This project is intended as a trial. For the right person, this can become ongoing weekly work creating content for: * DigiDonate * Entrepreneurship content * Travel content * Business content * Founder content * Podcast clips * Educational content * Industry commentary We are looking for a long-term creative partner, not just someone to complete a one-off edit. ## Examples of Editing Styles We Like These examples are provided to help you understand the style, pacing and storytelling approach we are looking for. ### Educational Authority Characteristics: * Fast cuts * Strong hooks * High retention * Educational content * Clear takeaways * No fluff Example: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rtPGr8w83H4 ### Founder Storytelling Characteristics: * Personal stories * Founder journey * Lessons learned * Real experiences * Authentic delivery Examples: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/SmsNAtaLR9I https://www.youtube.com/shorts/j2FZmLJe08w https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lFmQBXPvktA https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rZHMzNCIdMU https://www.youtube.com/shorts/tDCTAzETMqU ### Strategic Viral FX We like: * Clone effects * Object reveal effects * Portal effects * Ball transitions * Time warp effects * Object disappearance effects We do not want effects for the sake of effects. We want effects used strategically to support the story and improve viewer retention. ## Typical Content Types Video Type 1 Educational Authority "Why people don't trust charities anymore" Video Type 2 Founder Story "The conversation I had with a woman on a bus in Fiji changed how I think about charity forever." Video Type 3 Viral FX Explainer "Where does your donation actually go?" Money disappears from your hand. Cut. "That's the problem." These three content styles will likely represent the majority of the content we create over the next 12 months. ## Screening Question If you were creating a 45-second video around the topic: "Why people don't trust charities anymore" Please explain: * Your opening hook * How you would film it * What B-roll you would use * Which editing techniques you would apply * How you would maintain viewer retention ## To Apply Please provide: * Your best short-form video examples * Examples of Viral FX you have created * Examples edited in CapCut * Examples where you provided filming direction * Your hourly rate * Your availability each week Applications that do not include relevant portfolio examples will not be considered. To confirm you have read this entire job description, please start your proposal with: "Trust is earned."
