Social Media & Creative Assistant for International Conductor Hourly | Long-term | Remote I'm an orchestra conductor, educator, and artistic director working with professional orchestras, opera companies, and universities across the United States. I'm looking for a creative assistant who can help build a distinctive online presence around music, leadership, creativity, and the arts. This is a long-term position for someone who enjoys storytelling, visual design, and helping build a personal brand. About Me My work spans: Conducting professional orchestras and opera Contemporary and classical music Teaching at a major liberal arts college Artistic leadership Behind-the-scenes creative work Travel Interviews and media appearances My goal is to create social media that feels thoughtful, visually elegant, and authentic—not promotional or gimmicky. Responsibilities Social Media Management Create and schedule posts across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube Repurpose long-form content into short posts Turn rehearsal photos and videos into engaging content Write captions in my voice Develop monthly content calendars Suggest new content ideas Graphic Design Create graphics for: concert announcements educational posts quote cards carousel posts stories event promotions newsletters presentations (occasionally) Brand consistency is important. Video Editing Edit short-form videos including: Instagram Reels YouTube Shorts Facebook videos Add: captions light motion graphics music clean transitions Website Support (Preferred) This is not required but is a major advantage. Tasks may include: updating website pages adding concerts blog formatting portfolio updates image optimization basic SEO WordPress or Squarespace editing Administrative Creative Support Occasionally help with: organizing media assets maintaining photo libraries formatting newsletters preparing promotional materials researching trends or comparable artists Skills I'm Looking For Required: Excellent English Strong graphic design skills Canva or Adobe Creative Suite Understanding of visual branding Social media experience Good communication Reliable and organized Able to work independently Preferred: Website design WordPress or Squarespace Basic video editing Lightroom or Photoshop Classical music or performing arts familiarity Copywriting AI tools for creative workflows The Ideal Candidate You probably: enjoy telling stories visually appreciate clean, sophisticated design have an eye for typography and composition are proactive with ideas are interested in the arts, culture, or education can balance creativity with professionalism You don't need to know classical music inside and out, but you should be excited to learn.
