Social Media Manager & Content Creator for Luxury Salon Suite Startup

About Blu Jae Salon Suites Blu Jae Salon Suites is an emerging luxury salon suite concept currently in development in the Richmond, Virginia market. Our mission is to create an elevated environment where independent beauty and wellness professionals can build and grow their own businesses while being part of a supportive community. We are currently in the startup phase, working through site selection, funding, and development. This is an exciting opportunity to help us build a brand from the ground up and document the journey from concept to grand opening. The Opportunity: ~I am looking for a creative, entrepreneurial freelancer who can serve as both a content creator and social media manager. This is not simply a posting-and-scheduling role. ~I need someone who can help tell the story of building Blu Jae, create excitement around the brand, and begin attracting future beauty and wellness professionals who may eventually lease a salon suite. ~The ideal candidate understands how to create engaging content that builds trust, generates interest, and grows an audience before a business even opens its doors. Responsibilities: Content Creation ~Film and edit short-form video content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts) ~Capture behind-the-scenes content throughout the development process ~Create graphics, photos, and branded content ~Develop content around entrepreneurship, beauty industry trends, and business ownership Social Media Management ~Manage Instagram and Facebook accounts ~Create and maintain a content calendar ~Write captions and optimize posts ~Schedule and publish content ~Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages ~Track performance and provide monthly reporting Brand Storytelling ~Document the journey of launching Blu Jae Salon Suites ~Turn milestones, challenges, property tours, construction updates, and business decisions into engaging content ~Help position Blu Jae as a desirable destination for independent beauty and wellness professionals Community Building & Growth ~Grow a targeted local audience in the Richmond area ~Engage with beauty professionals, salon owners, estheticians, barbers, nail technicians, massage therapists, wellness providers, and other potential future tenants ~Help build awareness and excitement leading up to leasing and opening Ideal Experience - Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with: ~Beauty brands ~Salons ~Salon suites ~Med spas ~Wellness businesses ~Personal brands ~Startup businesses What Success Looks Like: The goal is not simply to gain followers.
