Sports Video Editor Needed for “The Clutch Files” — Clutch Era

About Clutch Era Clutch Era is a sports storytelling brand built around one idea: telling powerful stories through athletes and the moments that define them. I’m developing a video series called “The Clutch Files,” where we break down and tell the stories behind some of the most clutch moments in sports. The goal isn’t simply to show highlights. I want each video to tell a story — building tension, explaining the situation, showing what was at stake, and breaking down the moment that made the athlete or game unforgettable. What I’m Looking For I’m looking for a talented sports video editor who can help bring this concept to life. You should be comfortable taking raw footage, highlights, images, voiceovers, and other assets and turning them into an engaging, story-driven video. The editing style I’m looking for is: Fast-paced and engaging Cinematic when appropriate Strong use of highlights and replays Dynamic cuts and transitions Text/graphics that help tell the story Sound effects and music that build tension Creative use of zooms, slow motion, freeze frames, etc. Strong pacing that keeps viewers watching A polished, professional sports-media feel I want the videos to feel like more than highlight reels. They should feel like short documentaries/stories about the moments that defined athletes and games. The Clutch Files For example, a video might break down a legendary clutch performance and walk the viewer through: What happened → What was at stake → The pressure → The key moment → How the athlete responded → Why the moment mattered I’ll provide the concept/story direction and, depending on the project, the footage, voiceover, or other materials. I need an editor who can take those pieces and turn them into something visually compelling. Who Would Be a Great Fit You’d be a great fit if you: Have experience editing sports content Understand sports storytelling and pacing Know how to make highlight footage feel exciting Have a strong sense of music and sound design Can create engaging short-form content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Are creative and willing to experiment Can take direction while also bringing your own editing ideas Have examples of sports edits or storytelling work you’ve done Please include your portfolio/reel when applying. Sports-related work is highly preferred. Long-Term Opportunity This is not necessarily a one-off project. My goal is to build Clutch Era into a consistent sports storytelling brand and produce multiple episodes of The Clutch Files. If we work well together, I’d be interested in developing a long-term relationship and having you help establish the visual editing style of the brand.
