Test Fit / Space Planning Layout

We are evaluating a potential commercial space for a Pilates studio in Berkeley, CA and need help creating a test-fit layout to determine how many Pilates reformers can reasonably fit in the space. We have an existing floor plan with dimensions, as well as the reformer equipment dimensions/specifications. The goal is to produce a practical layout that maximizes the number of reformers while maintaining proper spacing, circulation, and instructor access. Project Scope We need someone to review the attached space plan and reformer specifications and create a test-fit layout showing: Maximum number of Pilates reformers that can fit in the space Recommended reformer layout and orientation Clear spacing between reformers and walls Instructor walkway/circulation path Any recommended modifications to the existing platform/stair area at the front of the space Key Requirements The layout should account for the following: Reformer beds must be spaced approximately 18 inches apart Reformer beds should also be approximately 18 inches from walls Instructor walkway should be approximately 3 to 4 feet wide We are open to extending the existing platform and stairs forward near the front of the building in order to maximize the number of reformers The layout should be practical for a real Pilates class, not just a theoretical maximum Deliverables Please provide: A scaled test-fit floor plan showing reformer placement Total reformer count Dimensions/spacing callouts One or more alternate layout options, if possible Any notes or recommendations based on the space constraints The deliverable can be provided as a PDF, CAD file, SketchUp file, or another professional format, as long as the layout is clear and dimensioned. Ideal Candidate The ideal person has experience with: Commercial space planning Fitness studio layouts CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools Test-fit drawings for retail, fitness, wellness, or boutique studio spaces This is an initial test-fit project. If the space works, there may be additional work for more detailed layout planning and design. Please include examples of similar space planning or test-fit work you’ve done.
