Summary

We are looking for an experienced VSL Ad Editor who thinks like a marketer first and an editor second. This role is not for general video editors. If you do not understand sales psychology, customer awareness levels, and how every cut either builds or breaks the path to the sale, this is not your seat. We are intentionally selective so we do not waste your time or ours. Role Overview You take our VSL scripts and turn them into high-performing, conversion-focused video ads. You will not write the scripts, but you must read them like a strategist: knowing why each line is there, what awareness stage the viewer is in, and how visuals, pacing, and structure move someone from scrolling to buying. Your edits should feel intentional and performance-driven, not decorative. Every B-roll choice, every cut, every zoom should reinforce the message and match the emotional state of the market at that exact moment in the video. Responsibilities Edit VSL-style ads optimized for retention, clarity, and conversion Visually reinforce the hook, problem, mechanism, benefits, proof, and CTA moments Source and integrate high-quality stock and AI-generated B-roll that matches the emotional flow Apply pacing techniques, pattern interrupts, zooms, visual resets, and emphasis cuts to hold attention Use AI tools to move faster and execute sharper Deliver fast iterations and apply feedback with precision Collaborate closely to keep pushing creative performance up Required Background (Mandatory) Apply only if all of the following are true: Proven experience editing direct-response VSL ads A clear grasp of market awareness levels and sales psychology The ability to think like a marketer, not just a video editor Strong instinct for visual storytelling that supports persuasion Experience using AI tools for editing, enhancement, or B-roll generation Excellent B-roll sourcing skills (stock and AI) Clean subtitles and solid basic motion graphics Comfortable with performance feedback and rapid revisions Professional, reliable communication If you lack real direct-response or awareness-driven experience, please do not apply. Trial Process We start with a trial edit to evaluate fit, execution quality, and performance thinking. If the trial meets expectations, we approve and pay it immediately and move forward on a paid basis. High-performing editors are prioritized for long-term, ongoing work.
