Motion Graphics Designer for Spanish YouTube Video
Worldwide
# Brief: YouTube Video Editing — "The 7 Levels in the Life of an Engineer" ## About the project Spanish-language YouTube channel called **Engineer Mood**, targeting engineers of all disciplines (industrial, civil, mechanical, software, etc.) in Spain. The video is voiceover-narrated (no on-camera footage) and is already recorded. **Duration:** ~17 minutes raw audio — please trim silences/dead space to tighten the final pacing **Audio language:** Spanish **Format:** Voiceover narration + supporting motion graphics ## What I provide - Full raw narrated audio - Full transcript in English with **some graphic placements already marked** as `[GRAPHIC: ...]` tags at the exact point they should appear — this is your main reference for what to build and where - The same transcript in Spanish, for reference if needed (e.g. to match timing more precisely against the audio) ## Audio - Needs cleanup: noise reduction, EQ (raw recording) - Trim unnecessary pauses/silences ## Visual concept The video presents "7 levels" in an engineer's career, framed like a video game leveling system. Looking for a recurring **"character sheet" / video game stats screen** identity that repeats and evolves across each level — level indicator, simple icons per subsection (money, daily life, etc.). Clean, simple motion graphics — no 3D, no whiteboard/hand-drawn style. **On-screen text:** Level titles and all salary figures should appear in Spanish exactly as written in the transcript's `[GRAPHIC: ...]` tags. Everything else can be icon-based/wordless. ## Graphics per level (template) The transcript already marks the **must-have** graphics (level indicator + salary figures) — those are non-negotiable. Beyond those, each level should also get a small set of **supporting motion graphics that you design** to illustrate the subsections (how to recognize the level, daily life, the good, the bad, why most people don't move forward). These don't need a script marker — use your judgement on where a visual beat helps the pacing. I'm looking for **illustrated character/scene-based motion graphics** (a simple animated character going through the situation being narrated — e.g. a character buried in paperwork at a desk for "daily life as an intern," or stressed in front of two diverging paths for "the crossroads") rather than plain icons or stock footage. Style should stay clean and flat/vector-based (think modern explainer-video animation), not 3D, not whiteboard/hand-drawn. As a rough template per level, aim for: - 1 level indicator (marked in transcript) - 1 salary/income figure (marked in transcript, except Level 1 and 7 which have none) - 5 supporting character/scene animations of your own, illustrating the key beats of that level So each level should land **5 graphic moments total** — enough to keep it visually engaging. ## What I'm NOT looking for - Vlog-style editing with camera cuts (there's no on-camera footage) - Whiteboard / hand-drawn animation - Heavy, fast-paced "MrBeast" style effects — tone is warm and ironic, not hyperstimulating - AI-generated video clips or cutaways ## Deliverables - Final edited video, 16:9, ready for YouTube - Spanish subtitles (burned in or separate file — to discuss) - 3 short clips (9:16) from the strongest moments (salary figures, anecdotes, punchy lines) for Shorts — included in the project budget ## Budget and timeline Open budget — please propose your price and delivery timeline based on the scope above. Portfolio examples with animated infographics/motion graphics are valued, ideally long-form YouTube content (not just Shorts).
