Videographer / Producer for Mars Habitation Concept Video

We are seeking a Los Angeles-based videographer and producer to develop an 8–9 minute explainer video documenting a Mars habitation concept for an international museum exhibition and related art piece. The video will combine 3D animations, still imagery of the Mars habitation concept, and select documentary-style footage. The final piece will be exhibited in an international museum and published online. We are looking for a highly independent visual storyteller with a strong sense of pacing, clarity, and concise narrative structure. The ideal candidate can translate complex design, architecture, and space exploration concepts into an engaging and accessible video for a broad audience. This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable working collaboratively, taking creative direction, and helping shape the story from concept through final edit. Responsibilities may include: * Developing the video structure and narrative flow in collaboration with the project team * Producing and filming select documentary-style footage in Los Angeles * Editing together 3D animations, still images, interviews or narration, and supporting visuals * Helping refine the pacing, tone, and clarity of the final video * Delivering a polished final video suitable for museum exhibition and online publication Ideal qualifications: * Experience producing short-form documentary, explainer, museum, architecture, design, science, or technology-related videos * Strong editing and storytelling skills * Ability to work independently and manage a clear production timeline * Comfort working with 3D animation assets, still renders, and mixed-media visual material * Strong communication and collaboration skills * Based in Los Angeles or available for filming in Los Angeles To apply, please send: * A short note about your relevant experience * Portfolio or reel * Examples of documentary, explainer, museum, design, architecture, or science/technology video work * Availability and general production rate or project fee range
