Google Ads Conversion Tracking Expert for Shopify (GTM + GA4)

We are looking for a highly experienced Google Ads conversion tracking specialist to audit, troubleshoot, and optimize our ecommerce and lead conversion tracking and attribution for two Shopify websites. The two websites are very similar and have the same needs as far as conversion tracking and attribution are concerned. Our ideal candidate has hands-on experience and expertise using Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), ValueTrack/UTMs, Enhanced Conversions, and Data-Driven Attribution (DDA) to establish and optimize advanced Google Ads conversion tracking and attribution for Shopify websites. Initial Scope of Work (Estimate: Less than 1 month) * Audit Google Ads conversion tracking implementation for two Shopify websites * Identify tracking issues, attribution gaps, and reporting discrepancies * Recommend solutions and best practices * Implement fixes and tracking improvements as needed Extended Scope of Work (Estimate: Up to 3 months) * Audit and optimize Google Ads conversion tracking * Create and configure conversion actions and conversion action sets * Fork GA4 data to distinguish sample conversions from full order conversions * Ensure maximum available data is feeding enhanced conversions * Enable and validate Data-Driven Attribution (DDA) * Create custom conversion variables to improve dashboard reporting * Create separate conversion actions for newsletter signups to distinguish between forms (e.g. popup vs footer) * Define and configure conversion action values * Configure and optimize GTM tags * Add ValueTrack parameters and UTMs * Thoroughly test and validate all tracking implementations * Ensure tracking accuracy across Shopify, GA4, GTM, and Google Ads Requirements * Must be based in the United States * Proven experience implementing advanced Google Ads conversion tracking for Shopify ecommerce stores * Strong expertise in GTM and GA4 * Experience with Enhanced Conversions and ecommerce attribution troubleshooting * Ability to independently audit, diagnose, and resolve tracking issues * Strong communication and documentation skills Budget & Engagement * Hourly budget: $30–$50/hour * Expected engagement length: 2-8 Weeks Availability * Preferred availability with partial overlap during IST business hours (9 AM – 7 PM IST) When applying, please include: 1.
