Video Editor Needed for ongoing editing projects for YouTube channel

We're looking for a talented YouTube editor to help bring our latest travel series to life for our YouTube channel, Empty Nester Life (https://www.youtube.com/@emptynesterlife) This series will be focused on Puerto Penasco, Mexico (AKA Rocky Point). We also have a sponsor of the trip that we will highlight in a full video, and also sprinkle into certain lifestyle videos. Our channel overall follows our journey as empty nesters exploring travel, lifestyle, and the possibility of relocating, with a focus on authentic storytelling. This project includes **10 videos**, a mix of: * Long-form , episodic videos (15 to 25 minutes) * Shorter feature videos (**Where to eat**, **Can you drink the water?**, etc) (5 to 10 minutes) We're looking for someone we'd love to continue working with beyond this series as we produce regular content throughout the year. About this project This series follows our trip to Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point), Mexico. Throughout the series we explore the area, local businesses, beaches, food, and experiences while naturally incorporating sponsored content featuring **Vivente**, a luxury new home community. The sponsorship should feel authentic and woven into the story, never like a commercial. ## We're looking for someone who can * Tell a compelling story from hours of footage. * Find emotional moments, humor, and natural pacing. * Create strong openings that keep viewers watching. * Balance cinematic moments with authentic vlog footage. * Integrate sponsor messaging in a way that feels seamless. * Use music to enhance emotion without overpowering the story. (We have storyblocks and epidemic sound licenses) * Add tasteful graphics, maps, titles, and B-roll where appropriate. * Create polished edits without relying on trendy effects. ## Our editing style Think more: * Kara and Nate * Endless Adventure * Kinging-It * Eamon & Bec Less: * MrBeast-style editing * Constant jump cuts * Over-the-top sound effects * Flashy transitions every few seconds We want viewers to feel like they're traveling with us. ## What we'll provide * Organized video footage * Talking-head segments * Drone footage * B-roll * Story notes and episode objectives * Sponsor requirements and talking points * Music direction (if needed) * Our complete production guide that we used while filming in Mexico to understand the story we were capturing ## Deliverables For each video we'd like: * One completed YouTube edit * Thumbnail frame suggestions * Revisions * Organized project files (preferred but not required) ## Paid Test Edit Rather than choosing an editor based solely on a portfolio, we'll ask a few finalists to complete a **paid test edit** using 3 to 5 minutes of our footage. This is not free work. We'll compensate you for your time.
