YouTube Video Editor for Automotive Channel (Long-Form Storytelling)

I’m looking for a talented YouTube video editor to become a long-term part of my channel. This is not a one-time project. I’m looking for someone who understands how to edit videos that people actually watch; not just someone who can add transitions and music. The channel focuses on my 1966 Chevelle convertible, classic cars, road trips, automotive storytelling, and behind-the-scenes content. The editing style should feel cinematic, authentic, and engaging while maximizing viewer retention. Responsibilities * Edit one high-quality long-form YouTube video each week (10-20+ minutes) * Create compelling hooks that capture attention within the first 5 seconds * Build engaging pacing throughout the video to maximize audience retention * Add tasteful motion graphics, text, zooms, B-roll, and sound effects where appropriate * Mix music with engine audio so the car remains the hero * Color grade footage for a cinematic look * Deliver organized project files and final exports Requirements * Proven experience editing successful YouTube videos * Strong understanding of viewer retention and storytelling * Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects is a bonus) * Excellent audio editing and sound design skills * Strong color grading ability * Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines Bonus Experience * Automotive content * Classic cars * YouTube Analytics * Thumbnail design * YouTube Shorts editing To Apply Please include: 1. Long-Term Goal I’m building this into a serious YouTube brand and am looking for someone who wants to grow with the channel for years, not just complete individual editing jobs.
