AI Draft Editor — Finance & Options Trading Content
Worldwide
About Us We run an educational website that helps retail investors systematize a disciplined options trading approach using cash-secured puts and covered calls. We publish in-depth educational content (30+ articles, growing to 50+) and offer a paid weekly screening subscription. The founder has a PhD in computer science/AI, runs a quantamental hedge fund, and previously built and sold an AI education platform online. We're a bootstrapped, independent business — no affiliates, no broker partnerships, no fluff. Our content is technical, credible, and genuinely useful. What We're Looking For A sharp editor who can take AI-generated article drafts and turn them into polished, human-sounding content ready for publication. We use AI to produce first drafts of educational blog articles about options trading and stock screening. The drafts are structurally solid — the research, outline, and section flow are already done. What they need is a human pass to clean up the language, kill the AI voice, verify links, and source images. The end product should read like it was written by a person, not assembled by a model. This is not proofreading. We need someone who can recognize and rewrite the patterns that make AI-generated text obvious — the hedging, the filler transitions, the over-summarizing, the generic phrasing — and replace them with direct, natural language. Scope of Work For each article (2,500–5,000 words), you will: - Read the AI-generated draft (provided as a markdown file) and edit for natural, human voice - Identify and rewrite AI-telltale phrasing — filler transitions ("It's worth noting that..."), unnecessary hedging ("It's important to understand that..."), over-summarizing, and generic constructions - Make light content corrections where something reads awkwardly or inaccurately (you don't need to be an options expert, but financial literacy helps) - Verify that internal links point to real, published pages on our website - Source images from Unsplash using keywords provided in the draft, resize to a maximum width of 1,500 pixels, and name files to match the placeholders in the article - Deliver a .zip file containing the edited markdown file and all sourced/resized images You are not expected to: - Write articles from scratch - Do topic research or come up with outlines - Publish or upload anything (just deliver the .zip) Ideal Candidate - Strong English writing and editing skills — you have a feel for what sounds human vs. what sounds like ChatGPT - Experience editing or rewriting AI-generated content (or a demonstrable eye for it) - Familiarity with AI detection/cleanup tools is a plus (Grammarly, GPTZero, Rewritely, etc.) but not required — what matters is the output reads naturally - Comfortable working in markdown (or willing to learn — it's simple). Our site runs on Hugo, a static site generator, so familiarity with Hugo is a big plus. - Basic financial literacy — you don't need to trade options, but you shouldn't be confused by terms like "strike price" or "premium" - Reliable turnaround — we publish 1–2 articles per week and need consistent delivery - Detail-oriented with images — sourcing relevant photos, resizing correctly, naming files to match placeholders What Makes This a Good Gig - The hard part (research, outlining, drafting) is already done — you're polishing, not creating from scratch - Consistent, recurring work — we're publishing 1–2 articles per week with a pipeline of 50+ planned - The content is genuinely interesting if you have any curiosity about investing or personal finance - Clear deliverable format — no ambiguity about what "done" looks like - Long-term engagement for the right person — this isn't a one-off project
