Email & SMS Marketing for Cafe Group (Austin,TX)

About Us Blenders & Bowls is a health-focused cafe group with 3 locations in Austin, TX. We serve smoothies, açaí bowls, and fresh food to a loyal, wellness-minded community. We've got a strong brand voice — warm, energetic, and rooted in real ingredients and real people. We're not a corporate chain, and our marketing shouldn't feel like one. We recently implemented Toast for our POS and marketing platform and are looking for someone to own our email and SMS campaigns across all three locations. What You'll Do: Write and schedule email campaigns (promotions, seasonal launches, loyalty rewards, events) — roughly 2–3 per week across locations Write and send SMS campaigns via Toast — short, punchy, never spammy Manage our subscriber lists and basic segmentation (e.g., location-based sends) Pull basic performance reports and flag what's working and what's not Stay consistent with our brand voice across all communications What We're Looking For Proven experience writing email and SMS copy for food, beverage, hospitality, or wellness brands — please include examples in your application Familiarity with Toast marketing tools (or similar platforms like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Attentive) Strong copywriting skills — you should be able to write something that sounds like a real person, not a marketing robot Self-starter who can work with light direction once you understand the brand Reliable, communicative, meets deadlines Nice to Have Experience with multi-location brands Based in Austin (not required, but a plus) Basic understanding of loyalty program marketing Engagement Details Estimated hours: 15–20 hrs/month Budget: $500/month (fixed) or open to hourly proposals Start: ASAP This is an ongoing role with room to grow if it's a great fit How to Apply Please include: 2–3 examples of email or SMS campaigns you've written (food/bev/wellness preferred) A 2–3 sentence description of how you'd approach writing for a health cafe brand Your experience with Toast or similar marketing platforms Applications without samples will not be considered.
