Senior Laravel + Next.js Performance Auditor for Public Website & Private Portals

We are looking for a senior Laravel + Next.js performance specialist to perform an independent audit of an existing marketplace platform. The platform consists of: - Public website - Worker profiles - Employer portal - Worker portal - Agent portal - Admin portal Current technology stack: - Frontend: Next.js / React hosted on Vercel - Backend: Laravel / PHP hosted on Render - Storage: DigitalOcean - CDN/DNS: Cloudflare Primary concern: We are experiencing performance issues across both public-facing pages and authenticated portals. Initial investigation of a HAR/network capture identified: - Approximately 617 network requests on a worker profile page - Approximately 26 MB of transferred data - Multiple API endpoints taking approximately 13-14 seconds to respond Examples include: - /country/current - /user/check-active-plan - /user/website-settings/get - /user/static-status We require an experienced engineer to identify the actual root causes of the performance issues. Scope of work: 1. Public Website Performance Review - Homepage - Worker listing pages - Worker profile pages - Registration and pricing pages 2. Private Portal Performance Review - Worker dashboard - Employer dashboard - Agent dashboard - Admin dashboard 3. Backend Performance Analysis - Laravel controllers and services - Middleware - Authentication/session handling - API response times - Caching opportunities - External service dependencies 4. Database Performance Analysis - Slow queries - Missing indexes - N+1 query issues - Relationship loading - Query optimization opportunities 5. Frontend Performance Analysis - Excessive API requests - Rendering bottlenecks - Bundle size issues - Image loading - SSR/CSR implementation - Lazy loading opportunities 6. Infrastructure Review - Vercel - Render - Cloudflare - DigitalOcean Deliverables: - Written performance audit report - Root-cause analysis of slow pages and APIs - Prioritized findings (Critical / High / Medium / Low) - Recommended remediation plan - Estimated effort required for each fix - Assessment of whether bottlenecks are caused by: - Frontend - Backend - Database - Caching - Infrastructure - Images/storage Important: We are looking for diagnosis and recommendations first. Please do not propose infrastructure migrations or platform rebuilds without first identifying and demonstrating the root causes of the performance issues.
