Founding AI Systems Engineer (AI Agents, Automation & Supabase)

Founding AI Systems Engineer – Kibo Kibo is an iOS dog food intelligence platform that helps dog owners analyze ingredients, recalls, and product quality. We are looking for an experienced AI Systems Engineer to build our first autonomous AI agent and help lay the foundation for future AI infrastructure. Initial Project Build an AI-powered Recall Monitoring Agent that: * Monitors FDA and other recall sources automatically * Detects new dog food and dog treat recalls * Stores recall data in Supabase * Prevents duplicate entries * Generates structured recall records * Runs automatically on a schedule * Sends notifications when new recalls are detected * Includes logging and error monitoring Current Stack * Supabase * OpenAI * iOS App * APIs * Scheduled workflows Requirements * Strong Python experience * Experience building AI agents or autonomous workflows * Experience with APIs and data collection * Experience with automation systems * Experience with database integrations * Experience with Supabase is a plus Nice to Have * LangChain * OpenAI Agents SDK * Vector databases * Web scraping * Production AI systems Future Opportunities If the project is successful, additional work may include: * Product Ingestion Agent * Ingredient Research Agent * Score QA Agent * Data Enrichment Pipelines * AI Infrastructure Development When Applying Please answer the following: 1.
