Procurement & Inventory Management Assistant

We are a national distributor of medical supplies in the US. We are looking for a Procurement & Inventory Management Assistant who will support our Manager on a Part-time basis. At the start, you will be asked to take ownership of specific deliverables, such as preparing mid-month inventory reports with commentary. There is potential for this position to become Full-time and for you to be involved in the following: - Vendor management and price negotiation - Managing inventory across our 5 US warehouses (we have a no backorder policy that has held true since 2022) - Preparing weekly and monthly reports, including the aforementioned mid-month inventory report along with customer-facing reports, vendor audits, to name a few - Creating and updating product listings on our ecommerce store and within our IMS (Inventory Management System) What we are looking for: - We are a small team: Support may be needed in areas that aren't native to your job description - We all work remote: We use Slack for internal comms. It is essential to maintain a high level of communication and respond quickly. For external comms (customers), we aim to respond within 15 minutes - We work Eastern Time - We use an internal tracker to maintain deliverables. Every deliverable must be logged on the tracker with a clear ETA and be updated regularly - Hours: Approximately 5 p/w to start with. At Full-time, the expectation is to hit 40 at minimum, although there is flexibility as long as tasks are being completed on time
