AWS | devOps engineer for EC2 cost optimization + security hardening

Hello! I run a small dev shop and AI consultancy company with 4–5 active client projects, each with their own AWS infrastructure: mostly EC2 instances, a few progressive web apps, and several ETL pipelines. I’ve already done the audit and have a prioritized action list ready to go. I just need someone to execute on the cost savings and security hardening: The scope is focused: • Right-size EC2 instances across projects • Optimize region placements to reduce latency and cost • Review and harden IAM policies, security groups, and exposed endpoints • Set up basic cost monitoring and alerting (billing alarms, budget thresholds) • Document any changes made • Reduce monthly bill by about 75% This is a short-term, execution-focused engagement. Not a discovery project but a brief investigation is expected. I know at a high-level what needs to happen, I need someone who can move fast, work independently, and communicate clearly. Familiarity with AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, and GuardDuty is a plus.
