UI/UX Designer + Frontend Developer Needed for SaaS Platform (Test Project → Full-Time)

We're a early-stage SaaS startup building a B2B productivity platform and we're looking for one person who can own both design and frontend development. We've worked with separate designers and developers before and it's been a coordination nightmare — this time we want someone who can do both, and do both well. We're starting with a paid test project to make sure it's a great fit on both sides. If it is, we'd love to bring you on full-time or as a long-term dedicated contractor. About the test project: We need a redesign of our core dashboard — currently built in React/Next.js. The work involves auditing the existing UI, proposing an improved design in Figma, and then implementing the approved designs directly into the codebase. This is a real project with a real deadline, not a spec exercise. What we're looking for: Strong UI/UX design skills — you think about users, not just aesthetics Proficiency in Figma, including component libraries and design systems Solid React/Next.js frontend development — you write clean, maintainable code Experience with SaaS products, dashboards, or data-heavy interfaces Someone who communicates clearly and doesn't need to be micromanaged Bonus: experience with Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, or Webflow What the full-time role looks like: This isn't a bait-and-switch. We genuinely want to find a long-term partner who grows with the product. The full role involves owning the entire frontend — from new feature design through to implementation — working directly with the founding team. Flexible hours, async-friendly, and fully remote.
