Senior Full-Stack / Agentic AI Engineer — AI Personal Assistant (Ongoing)

We're building Nudgly (Nudge - Lee), an AI-powered personal assistant that helps people manage their day — tasks, reminders, calendar, email, routines, and bookings, all through natural conversation on a web dashboard and WhatsApp. The core idea: the user talks, the agent understands, and it actually takes action on their behalf. Not a chatbot that answers questions, an assistant that does the work. Where we are We have a working foundation and a clear build plan. The first phases are done, the core agent, integrations, and inbox are in place. We started with a developer who delivered the early phases, but we've reached a point where the quality and pace aren't matching what the next stage of this product needs. We're now looking for a more experienced engineer to take this forward properly. What we need you to be strong at This is the part that matters most. The next phases are about real agentic execution, the agent breaking a goal into steps, deciding what it can do on its own, doing it, and checking in with the user at the right moments. We need someone who has actually built this kind of thing before, not someone learning it on our project. Specifically, you should be comfortable with: Building reliable AI agents that take real actions (not just generate text) Multi-step / orchestrated agent workflows with approval gates for sensitive actions Tool-calling architectures where behavior is enforced in code, not left to the model Integrating LLMs cleanly into a production app What the assistant needs to do: Manage tasks, reminders, calendar events, and email through conversation Run recurring routines and multi-step automations ("every Friday, summarize my week and send it to me") Take on a project, break it into tasks, and work on the parts it can handle Do web research, draft documents, and send communications on the user's behalf Work identically over web and WhatsApp Our stack: React + TypeScript, Supabase (Postgres), and Claude as the AI engine. You should be comfortable here, but more important is that you understand how to build agentic systems well. What we're looking for in you: Proven experience shipping AI agent products (please show us) Clean, reliable engineering — you care about it working correctly, not just shipping fast Good communication and the ability to plan your own work and explain your decisions Someone we can build an ongoing relationship with as Nudgly grows To apply.
