Social Media Graphic Designer

Social Media Graphic Designer We are looking for a creative and fast-moving Social Media Graphic Designer to help create engaging visual content for Instagram and other social platforms. You will work closely with our content manager to turn ideas, news, screenshots, and content briefs into high-quality social media assets. This role is ideal for someone who can take direction well, work independently, communicate clearly, and consistently deliver polished visuals on tight timelines. Responsibilities * Design Instagram posts, carousel graphics, stories, and other social media assets * Turn content briefs, screenshots, articles, and manager feedback into visually appealing graphics * Recreate visual concepts from examples and references while making them original and platform-appropriate * Follow brand guidelines while suggesting improvements and new creative ideas * Create multiple visual concepts when needed and iterate quickly based on feedback * Stay current with social media design trends and best practices * Help improve content performance by providing visual recommendations and creative suggestions * Participate in regular team meetings to review content performance and discuss future content plans * Organize and maintain design files and templates for efficient production Requirements * Strong graphic design skills with a portfolio of social media content * Proficiency with Canva and other design tools * Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva AI, and similar platforms to speed up content creation and improve workflows * Ability to create professional content in a fast-paced environment * Comfortable creating 5–10+ assets per day when news flow is busy * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow creative direction * Excellent written and spoken English communication skills * Comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions quickly * Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a can-do mindset * Able to work independently and manage deadlines effectively * Available during North American market hours for quick revisions and breaking news content Nice to Have * Experience creating content in finance, investing, business, technology, or news-related industries * Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or video editing software * Understanding of social media analytics and engagement metrics * Experience creating viral or high-performing social media content * Familiarity with Trading Terminal, Bloomberg, or financial-news-style content and design What Success Looks Like * High-quality content delivered on time * Consistent visual branding across all content * Fast turnaround times without sacrificing quality * Proactive suggestions that improve engagement and content performance * Clear and professional communication with the team * Ability to quickly respond to breaking news and trending topics Contractor Details * Remote contractor position * Flexible hours * Ongoing work available for the right candidate * Regular check-ins and content review meetings
