Technical Lead / Lead Full Stack Engineer (Laravel + React + AWS)

We are experiencing strong business growth and are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to take ownership of our technology platform and help modernize our infrastructure. Current Environment Custom PHP platform 100,000+ vehicle listings Multiple inventory and auction API integrations Cloudflare MySQL database High SEO requirements Ongoing development and feature requests Project Goals We are planning a gradual modernization of our platform and need someone who can lead the technical direction. Key objectives include: Review and improve existing architecture Create a modernization roadmap Move toward Laravel + React/Next.js Improve website performance and Core Web Vitals Implement AWS S3 + CloudFront image infrastructure Improve caching and scalability Improve data synchronization and inventory management Implement technical SEO requirements correctly Reduce technical debt Establish development standards and processes Responsibilities Take technical ownership of the platform Review existing codebase and infrastructure Design system architecture Lead development efforts Perform code reviews Work with external SEO consultants Coordinate AWS and hosting requirements Improve website performance and reliability Recommend and supervise additional developers when needed Create technical documentation and roadmap Required Skills 8+ years of software development experience Strong PHP experience Strong Laravel experience React and/or Next.js experience MySQL database design and optimization REST API development and integrations AWS (S3, CloudFront, EC2, RDS) Git and code review workflows Performance optimization Caching strategies Experience working with large databases and inventory systems Highly Preferred Automotive marketplace experience Classifieds platform experience E-commerce platform experience Technical SEO knowledge Cloudflare experience Redis Queue systems Elasticsearch/OpenSearch First Engagement We prefer to start with a paid technical audit.
