LMS and SaaS Expert Developer

OVERVIEW: We're looking for an experienced SaaS or LMS developer to conduct a thorough review of our learning management system. This is not a build role — we need a sharp, critical eye to assess what we have, identify gaps, and give us a clear picture of what needs fixing or improving before we trial. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: - Review the overall platform architecture and codebase structure - Audit user flows end-to-end across all roles (e.g. admin, learner, instructor) and flag anywhere the experience breaks down or behaves unexpectedly - Identify role/permission gaps or inconsistencies - Assess scalability — flag anything that will become a problem as user volume grows - Review data flows and flag anything that looks fragile or poorly structured - Provide a clear written summary of findings with prioritised recommendations (critical / important / nice-to-have) WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: - Proven experience building or maintaining SaaS platforms, ideally with LMS or edtech exposure - Strong full-stack understanding — you can read both frontend and backend code and know what good looks like - Experience with role-based access control and multi-user platform architecture - Ability to communicate findings clearly in plain language — not just a list of code comments - Someone who can think like a product owner as much as a developer DELIVERABLE: A structured audit report covering: - Architecture & code quality observations - User flow issues by role - Permission/access control gaps - Scalability or structural risks - Prioritised action list
