Self-Hosted AI Agent Builder (OpenClaw) — On-Call / Backup Engineer

DESCRIPTION: I run a personal AI agent stack on OpenClaw (self-hosted) and need a skilled builder on standby to deploy, harden, and maintain it. This is a project-based, on-call arrangement — you’re my backup when I need an expert hand, not a full-time role. You’ll work on a small set of agents: a “chief of staff” (calendar/email orchestration), a strategic advisor (reasoning workflows), and an application builder (code execution + deployments). Inference runs on cloud APIs (Anthropic/OpenAI); the agents run on a VPS. What you’ll do: • Deploy and configure OpenClaw on a Linux VPS, in a properly isolated environment • Wire up messaging channels (Telegram/WhatsApp/Slack) and API integrations • Build and maintain custom skills, heartbeat checklists, and multi-agent routing • Security hardening (this agent has shell + filesystem access — isolation is non-negotiable) • Be responsive when I need a fix or a new capability shipped You must have: • Hands-on OpenClaw (or Clawdbot/Moltbot) experience — not just LLM wrappers • Strong Node.js, Linux/VPS administration, and Docker • Experience with Anthropic/OpenAI API integration and agent tool-use • A security-first mindset (you understand the risks of OS-level agent access) • Clear, fast communication Nice to have: • Built proactive/scheduled agents that monitor and take action autonomously • Ollama/LM Studio for local inference To apply: Start your proposal with the word “LOBSTER” so I know you read this.
