AI Automation Engineer for Dispatcher

AI Automation Engineer / AI Agent Builder (Freelance Project) #About Us We are a rapidly growing hospitality staffing company based in Austria with over 4,500 workers in our talent pool and more than 200 workers deployed daily across hotels, events, catering and hospitality operations. We are looking for an experienced AI Automation Engineer to help us build an AI-powered operations and staffing system that can automate large parts of our daily dispatching and workforce management processes. #The Project This is NOT a chatbot project. We are looking to build an AI agent capable of performing tasks currently handled by human dispatchers. The system should be able to: * Read open shifts from our scheduling system * Identify staffing shortages * Match suitable workers based on skills, location and availability * Contact workers automatically via WhatsApp or similar channels * Process responses * Fill shifts autonomously where possible * Escalate complex cases to human operators * Generate operational insights and notifications Future phases may include recruiting automation, candidate screening and customer service workflows. # Technical Requirements Experience with some of the following: * OpenAI / Claude APIs * AI Agents * n8n * Make * Supabase * PostgreSQL * Python * WhatsApp Business API * API integrations * Workflow automation * Multi-agent systems We are open regarding the exact technology stack and welcome recommendations. # Deliverables (Phase 1) Build an MVP capable of: 1. Reading open shifts 2. Matching suitable workers 3. Sending automated WhatsApp messages 4. Processing responses 5. Assisting or automating shift fulfillment 6. Escalating unresolved cases # Ideal Candidate * Strong experience building AI-powered operational workflows * Experience with automation platforms and APIs * Ability to design scalable systems * Strong communication skills * Previous work in staffing, workforce management, logistics or marketplaces is a plus Please include examples of relevant AI agent or automation projects you have built.
