Build an AI Streaming Chat Interface using React & Streamdown

We're looking for an experienced React developer to build a real-time AI streaming response interface using the Streamdown library (markdown rendering for streaming LLM output). What we need: A chat-style UI that renders AI responses as they stream in (token by token), similar to ChatGPT/Claude interfaces Use Streamdown to properly render markdown (code blocks, lists, tables, links) while content is still streaming Smooth, flicker-free rendering — no layout jumps as new tokens arrive Support for code syntax highlighting within streamed responses Connect to an existing API endpoint that returns a streaming response (SSE or fetch stream) Clean, responsive UI (mobile + desktop) Nice to have: Experience with Vercel AI SDK or similar streaming libraries Next.js experience Prior work integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) Deliverables: Fully functional React component(s) for the chat/streaming interface Clean, documented code Brief walkthrough/demo of the implementation Budget: Open to proposals based on experience Timeline: 1–2 weeks
