Remote CCTV Monitoring Specialist for Convenience Stores — Employee & Customer Loss Prevention

We are hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Remote Security Camera Monitoring Specialist to monitor live security footage for one or more convenience stores during business operating hours. This role is focused on identifying, recording, and reporting suspicious activity involving both employees and customers, with a special focus on activity around the register, cash handling areas, entrances, exits, aisles, and other high-risk areas. The ideal candidate is observant, fast, trustworthy, and comfortable using security camera portals, WhatsApp, and reporting tools. This is not a passive role. We need someone actively watching, documenting, and escalating important events in real time. Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for: Logging into the company’s existing security camera portal during assigned shifts. Monitoring live security footage across one or multiple convenience store locations. Watching for suspicious, unusual, unsafe, or policy-violating behavior involving employees and customers. Paying close attention to register activity, cash handling, employee conduct, customer interactions, theft risks, loitering, disputes, and safety issues. Recording and saving relevant footage clips when major or suspicious events occur. Sending immediate alerts through WhatsApp when urgent or important incidents are observed. Maintaining a clear incident log with time, date, store location, camera view, description of the event, and any action taken. Preparing an end-of-day report summarizing key observations, incidents, employee concerns, customer issues, and recommended follow-up. Preparing a weekly report highlighting patterns, repeated suspicious behavior, operational risks, employee concerns, customer incidents, and store-level trends. Keeping all footage, store activity, and company information strictly confidential. Events to Monitor and Report Examples include, but are not limited to: Suspicious employee behavior near the register. Unusual cash handling or refund activity. Employees giving away items, not scanning items, or bypassing store procedures. Customers loitering, shoplifting, distracting employees, or behaving aggressively. Disputes, arguments, threats, or unsafe situations. Unauthorized people entering restricted areas. Employees leaving registers unattended. Employees using phones excessively, sleeping, ignoring customers, or violating store policies. Large groups gathering inside or outside the store. Damage, safety hazards, spills, or emergencies. Any activity that appears unusual, risky, or worth management review. Required Qualifications The ideal candidate must have: Experience monitoring CCTV/security footage, loss prevention, retail operations, or remote surveillance preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused for long periods. Ability to recognize suspicious behavior quickly. Excellent written communication skills. Ability to send clear and timely WhatsApp alerts. Reliable computer, stable internet connection, and ability to monitor multiple camera feeds. A proper screen setup, preferably dual monitors or a large monitor. Ability to take screenshots, record clips, and organize footage clearly. High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism. Must be dependable and available during assigned operating hours. Daily Deliverables At the end of each shift, the monitor must submit: Incident Log Includes store location, time, camera angle, description, severity level, and footage reference. Urgent Alerts Sent immediately via WhatsApp when a serious or suspicious event occurs. End-of-Day Report Summary of all major events, suspicious activity, employee-related observations, customer-related issues, and recommended follow-up. Weekly Deliverables Each week, the monitor must submit a summary report covering: Repeated employee behavior concerns. Suspicious customer patterns. Register/cash handling concerns. Store safety issues. Theft-risk observations. Camera coverage issues or blind spots. Recommendations for owner/manager review. Ideal Candidate This role is best for someone who is: Highly observant.
