YOUTUBE VIDEO EDITOR – LONG-TERM ROLE Authority / Interview Content + Shorts This is a long-term role for a YouTube editor who understands that restraint—not over-editing—is what builds authority. WHAT YOU’LL EDIT Weekly output: - 1 long-form YouTube video (8–18 minutes) 3-5 revisions - 5–7 short-form clips (30–60 seconds, cut from the same footage) 1-3 revisions Each edit includes: - Clean audio (dialogue clarity is critical) - Basic color correction (natural look) - Minimal, intentional text overlays - 3–5 thumbnail frame exports - Organized project files EDITING STYLE: This channel is NOT fast-paced or flashy. We do NOT want: - Speed ramps - Excess transitions - Overuse of effects or music We DO want: - Controlled pacing (no dead space, but not rushed) - Authority-driven tone - Strategic restraint - Silence used intentionally (not dead space) WHO THIS IS FOR You are a strong fit if: - You’ve edited interview, documentary, or educational content - You understand pacing without gimmicks - You can deliver consistently each week - You want long-term, stable work PRIORITY & COMMITMENT: This is not a side slot. We’re looking for an editor who can treat this as a primary or near-primary client: - Deliver within 24–48 hours - Maintain consistent weekly workflow - Prioritize this work over low-value projects TURNAROUND EXPECTATIONS - First cut: 24–48 hours - Final delivery: 24 hours after feedback COMPENSATION Trial: - $250/week (~$1,000/month) Ongoing: - $300/week (~$1,200/month) Bonus: - $300–$500 quarterly based on performance HOW TO APPLY Send: - 2–3 relevant samples (interview/documentary content) - Your role on each project - Your typical turnaround time Answer: “Describe a moment where you intentionally left silence in an edit—and why.” Start your application with: TRUST FINAL NOTE We are not looking for flashy editors.
