YouTube Editor & Content Manager — Founder / DTC Brand Channel (Part-Time, Ongoing)

Overview: I'm the founder of Spacegoods, a UK DTC brand, and I'm scaling my personal YouTube channel and podcast seriously. I film 2x per week across long-form vlogs, studio podcast episodes, and founder ad content. I need a reliable part-time editor and content manager to take everything from raw footage to published and scheduled content. This is an ongoing role, not a one-off project. If you're good, this grows with me and become a much bigger role over time - What You'll Own: 1. Long-form YouTube editing Edit raw footage into clean, engaging YouTube videos (20-40 mins) Sharp cuts, remove dead air and filler, add captions where needed Export in correct YouTube specs No heavy motion graphics needed — clean, authentic editing style that matches raw founder content 2. Ad content editing Take raw studio ad footage and edit into tight 30-90 second widescreen ads Multiple versions per shoot (different hooks, different lengths) Select best takes, cut cleanly, export for YouTube, Meta, and Instagram 3. Shorts creation Generate 8-10 Shorts per shoot using Opus Clip plus your own manual selections Identify the most clip-worthy moments — genuine insight, controversy, or emotion Add captions, format correctly for vertical Schedule via Opus Clip or directly to YouTube Shorts 4. Folder organisation Create dated folders per shoot (format: YYYY-MM-DD — Shoot Type) Store raw files, edited long-form, edited ads, and shorts in clear subfolders Deliver organised folder structure within 48 hours of each shoot 5. Scheduling support Schedule Shorts via Opus Clip Upload long-form to YouTube with draft titles, descriptions, and chapter timestamps ready for my review before publishing What I'm Looking For: Proven YouTube editing experience — send me examples of channels you've worked on Fluent with Opus Clip for Shorts generation Fast turnaround — 48 hours for Shorts, 72 hours for long-form Understands authentic founder/personal brand content — not heavy VFX, just clean and sharp Good judgement on which moments are worth clipping Reliable, communicative, proactive What This Is Not: This is not a full-time role (yet) I don't need motion graphics, animation, or complex post-production I don't need someone to write copy or manage social strategy — just editing and organisation Volume: Approximately 2 shoots per week. Expect 4-6 long-form edits per month, 8-10 ad edits per month, and 40-60 Shorts per month. Rate: Fixed monthly retainer preferred, open to suggestions.
