Database Engineer (Firebase / Cloud Data Architecture) – UAE-Based | Ongoing Support

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to support the ongoing development and stability of a production platform built around structured workflows and real-time data systems. This role is focused on data architecture, performance, and scalability, ensuring the system remains efficient as it continues to evolve. Project Context You will be working on a live platform that manages: structured data inputs workflow-driven processes real-time tracking and reporting system-based outputs and documentation The platform is already operational. Your role will focus on maintaining and improving the underlying data structure, performance, and reliability. Core Responsibilities Design, optimize, and maintain data architecture Work with Firebase (Firestore, Functions, Storage) Improve query performance and data efficiency Structure and manage scalable data models Support API and backend data integration Ensure data consistency, integrity, and security Assist in debugging and resolving data-related issues Collaborate with frontend and full-stack developers Required Experience Strong experience with Firebase / Firestore or similar NoSQL systems Proven experience in data architecture and schema design Understanding of real-time data systems Experience optimizing queries and performance in production Experience supporting mid-level to enterprise-scale applications Preferred Experience Experience with structured workflow systems or operational platforms Familiarity with cloud-based architectures (GCP preferred) Experience working alongside Flutter or mobile-based applications Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Requirements Must be based in the UAE Available for ongoing support (hourly basis) Able to work within UAE time zone Flexible and responsive when needed Strong communication and accountability Engagement Details Ongoing work supporting a live platform Focus on performance, scalability, and system reliability Opportunity for long-term collaboration Application Requirements Please include: Relevant experience with Firebase / Firestore or similar databases Examples of systems you’ve worked on (preferably production systems) Your availability (UAE time) Any experience with real-time or workflow-based systems Additional Note We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the data layer, ensure it is structured correctly, and support the system as it scales.
