WordPress Designer / Developer Needed for Ongoing Client Website Work

We are a tech company looking for an additional WordPress designer/developer to join our team for ongoing client work. We need someone who can take client specs, understand the goal, and deliver clean, professional websites without overbuilding them or relying on an unnecessarily long list of plugins. This role is a good fit for someone who is comfortable with both design and development. You should be able to build sites that look good, work well, load reasonably fast, and are easy for clients or our team to maintain. What we are looking for: * Strong WordPress experience * Good design sense and attention to detail * Ability to build clean, practical websites * Comfortable working from client requirements or written specs * Able to customize themes when needed * Basic HTML, CSS, and PHP knowledge * Understanding of responsive design * Good communication and reliability * Willingness to work as part of a team * Ability to start quickly What we do not want: * Sites overloaded with unnecessary plugins * Bloated page builders when they are not needed * Poorly organized work that is hard to maintain * Someone who disappears after getting the assignment * Someone who only installs a theme and adds plugins until something works Selection Process We plan to shortlist approximately 6 qualified applicants. Those shortlisted will receive a current client specification and will be asked to provide a proposal for how they would approach the project. From there, we expect to select 2 individuals or agencies to implement the work. We are looking to start as soon as possible, so availability and responsiveness are important.
