Shopify Theme Engineer for E-commerce

Binary Future are looking for a talented Shopify Theme Engineer to join our growing remote team and work on modern e-commerce projects. We need a developer who truly understands Shopify themes — someone who thinks in Liquid, owns theme architecture, and knows how to build fast, scalable, and user-friendly storefronts. What You Will Work On * Build and architect custom Shopify themes from scratch for ambitious online stores * Work on various e-commerce projects and help online stores grow from the ground up * Migrate, upgrade, and extend existing Shopify themes by improving Liquid logic, sections, and schemas * Integrate Shopify APIs, including Admin API, Storefront API, Ajax API, and GraphQL * Improve store performance, Core Web Vitals, mobile adaptation, and overall customer experience * Communicate with clients from different countries, understand their business goals, and translate them into technical solutions * Work closely with our internal team and senior engineers * Join a collaborative remote team where every person’s viewpoint is considered and valued ## Required Skills * 2+ years of commercial experience with Shopify * Advanced knowledge of Shopify Liquid * Strong understanding of Shopify theme architecture, sections, and schemas * Experience with Shopify CLI and Theme Kit * Experience with Shopify Admin API * Experience with Storefront API / GraphQL * Strong knowledge of JavaScript / ES6+ * HTML5, CSS3, responsive and adaptive design * Experience with metafields and metaobjects * Performance optimization and Core Web Vitals understanding * Mobile adaptation and attention to UI/UX details * Git * Experience with AI tools for coding * Open-mindedness, flexibility, and willingness to learn Nice to Have * Experience with Node.js or PHP * Shopify App development experience * Basic understanding of SQL databases * Knowledge of caching strategies * WooCommerce experience * React or Vue experience for lightweight front-end tasks * Experience with B2B e-commerce solutions What We Offer * Remote cooperation * Work with international clients and modern e-commerce businesses * Variety of projects — every store is a different challenge and growth opportunity * Mentorship from senior engineers * A collaborative team that values your input * Clear communication and a practical approach to work * A team that respects time, budget, and quality equally How to Apply Please include in your application: 1.
