Develop & Build a Catalog Management System For Our Web Portal
Worldwide
Build a Catalog Management Portal (Upload → Edit → Publish to Shopify) Full-stack web app · fixed scope · ~2-week target for the core · detailed spec + UI mockup provided We run a catalog business in the furniture-retail space: we take product spreadsheets from manufacturers, clean them, and publish them to many retailers’ Shopify stores. We need an internal web portal so our team can do this in the browser instead of in spreadsheets. WHAT YOU’RE BUILDING A portal with a clear five-step flow (each screen is in the mockup we provide): • Upload a manufacturer CSV/XLSX — or pull from a vendor API/feed on a schedule or on demand; keep the original; map columns to our standard fields. • Review — validate rows and show what’s clean vs. needs fixing. • Edit products in a grid (dropdowns for category/material so bad data can’t be entered). • Retailer rules — per store: which products to hide (blocks) and how to price (markup off cost with a minimum-price floor). • Publish — preview exactly what will change on each Shopify store, then push only the differences. WHAT WE PROVIDE (so you can start immediately) • A detailed build specification (13 pages) plus a short addendum, written to be built from directly. • An interactive HTML mockup of every screen — the UI source of truth. • A sample manufacturer CSV, our category list, and our Shopify output format. • A development Shopify store with API access to build and test against. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • Strong full-stack web experience; comfortable with a Shopify Admin API integration and pulling data from third-party vendor APIs/feeds. • Your choice of stack — pick what you ship fastest and cleanest in (mainstream and maintainable; tell us what you’ll use). • Clean, handoff-ready code: a Git repo and a README we can run locally. • Able to build to an explicit acceptance checklist (it’s in the spec). PLEASE INCLUDE IN YOUR PROPOSAL • The stack you’d use and why. • A realistic timeline for the Core scope (be honest — we’d rather a working Core than a rushed everything). • One or two past projects with a data grid, file upload, or an external API integration (Shopify a plus). • Your fixed price for the Core, and a rough rate for the Phase 2 items listed in the spec. We have everything ready to hand over on day one — spec, mockup, sample data, and a test store. If you can build to a checklist and communicate clearly, this is a well-defined, fast project. Send your proposal with the details above and we’ll share the full spec.
