Experience Level: 3–5 Years Employment Type: Full-time Location: Remote About the Role We are looking for a skilled and motivated WordPress Developer to join our development team. In this mid-level role, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins, site integration, and security updates. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of web architecture, a keen eye for design aesthetics, and a track record of building responsive, high-performing websites that deliver excellent user experiences. 1. Key Responsibilities Theme & Plugin Development: Design, develop, and implement custom WordPress themes, page layouts, and plugins from scratch based on project requirements. Front-End Execution: Convert UI/UX design files (from Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools) into pixel-perfect, responsive, and accessible web pages using clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Back-End Integration: Conduct database management, optimize server-side logic, and seamlessly integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and CRM systems. Performance & SEO Optimization: Troubleshoot and resolve website performance bottlenecks, optimize core web vitals, ensure fast loading times, and maintain SEO-friendly code structures. Security & Maintenance: Conduct regular website audits, manage backups, monitor security logs, and perform necessary core, theme, and plugin updates. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and marketing teams to translate business concepts into functional digital features. 2.Requirements 2.1. Technical Skills Experience: 3–5 years of proven professional experience as a WordPress Developer with a solid portfolio of live websites. Core Stack: Advanced proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and JavaScript (ES6+, jQuery, or modern frameworks). WordPress Ecosystem: Deep understanding of the WordPress framework, including custom post types, taxonomies, hooks, actions, filters, and the database structure. Page Builders & Gutenberg: Experience building block-based layouts with the Gutenberg editor, as well as working with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, Divi). Database & Version Control: Solid experience with MySQL databases and proficient use of Git for version control and collaborative workflows. Responsive Design: Comprehensive knowledge of responsive web design practices and cross-browser compatibility. 2.2. Soft Skills Problem Solving: Strong debugging skills with a proactive approach to isolating plugin conflicts or architectural issues. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Time Management: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet development deadlines. 3. Nice-to-Have Experience with WooCommerce development and e-commerce optimization. Basic understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1). Familiarity with automated deployment tools or CI/CD pipelines.
