Virtual Assistant - Research, Data Management & Social Media for Financial Platform

Summary

We are building a financial data platform and need a detail-oriented virtual assistant to help with research, data entry, content creation, and social media management. This is a part-time role (10 to 15 hours per week) with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position as the platform scales. The work is varied. Some days you will be researching company information and populating our database. Other days you will be creating social media content, scheduling posts, or helping set up new workflows. You will work independently with clear instructions and weekly check-ins. Sample Tasks Research and data management -Researching publicly listed companies online and gathering specific data points (management teams, directors, corporate details, registration information, countries of operation) -Entering and updating company data in our admin panel and backend database -Reviewing data that has been auto-populated by our system and correcting anything that is missing, incomplete, or incorrect -Cross-referencing data across multiple public sources to ensure accuracy Social media and content -Helping set up and manage posting workflows for Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and Instagram -Modifying Canva templates and designs for social media posts based on specific news and announcements -Scheduling and posting content regularly across platforms Maintaining a consistent posting schedule and visual brand General support -Assisting with various operational tasks as the platform grows -Helping organize workflows and processes -Communicating clearly about progress, blockers, and questions What we are looking for: -Strong research skills and attention to detail -Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, and admin panels -Experience with Canva for creating and modifying designs -Experience managing social media accounts (posting, scheduling, engagement) -Familiar with AI tools (Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) and uses them regularly to work faster -Strong written English -Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently -Available for 10 to 15 hours per week, flexible schedule Nice to have: -Interest in or familiarity with finance, stock markets, or publicly listed companies -Experience with social media scheduling tools -Basic understanding of coding, APIs, or data systems -Experience working with financial data or company research platforms Hours: Part-time, 10 to 15 hours per week to start. Expected to grow to full-time. Schedule: Flexible. Work on your own schedule as long as deadlines are met and communication is responsive. Communication: Async via messaging, with a brief weekly check-in.
