E-commerce Website Developer Needed for Hookah/Specialty Products Store (Dubai Preferred)

• Job Description: We are looking for a skilled and creative website developer to build our e-commerce website for a hookah/smoking accessories brand. We already have our domain set up and previously worked with GoDaddy, but communication was delayed and our vision was not fully understood. We are now looking to work directly with a developer who can take ownership of the project, communicate clearly, and help bring our vision to life. • Project requirements: Build a fully responsive e-commerce website (desktop + mobile optimized) Create a premium, modern, and user-friendly online store Implement an 18+ age verification gate before entering the website due to the category of products (smoking accessories) Build the website in a way that allows us to easily add, edit, and manage new products whenever needed Set up product categories, product pages, inventory/product management, cart, and checkout flow Connect and configure a UAE-compatible online payment gateway/platform to process customer payments securely Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar Ensure website speed, responsiveness, and smooth user experience Provide guidance on best practices for conversions and customer journey Creative input is encouraged — we want someone who understands branding and can help elevate the website beyond a basic template • We will provide: Reference websites we like and want to take inspiration from Brand graphics/assets Product images and details Our vision and preferred direction • Ideal candidate: Experienced e-commerce website developer with a strong portfolio Has experience building premium product-based websites Understands UAE e-commerce requirements and payment integrations Strong communication skills and able to understand and execute a brand vision Preferably based in Dubai/UAE for easier communication and potential future projects Someone proactive who can suggest improvements and solutions • Please share: Examples of similar e-commerce websites you have built Your recommended platform and why Experience with UAE payment gateway integrations Estimated timeline and project cost Any suggestions/questions you have before starting
